Modular Poles Installations

01

Build a Problem-Free Pole

Every composite pole from Resilient Structures is made from a combination of smaller modules. With eight core modules available, we offer 242 custom utility pole configurations to meet your distribution, transmission, substation or communication needs.

All of our poles feature an 80-year service life, require no scheduled maintenance, and are covered by a 41-year warranty. Book a call with our sales team to fully explore the flexibility of modular composite poles from Resilient Structures.

Our pole options range from 20 to 170 feet in length and cover class 2-H6. Power poles can accommodate lines and equipment up to 345KV as well as lighting, lightning and SCADA applications. Communication poles support cellular, broadband, radio, PTP and PTMP equipment.

Find the Right RS Pole for Your Needs

Use the selector below to choose the perfect pole based on length, class, and specifications.
RS Pole Code (Imperial) RS Pole Code (Metric) Pole AGH ft. [m] Weight lb [kg] Tip OD in. [cm] Base OD in. [cm] Base Plate OD in. [cm]

Note: The RS pole selector is based on CSA Grade 2 construction with a maximum AGH deflection limit of 22% at class load for tangent and self supporting poles with line angles ≤3°. The M5/6 is not shown in the module tree as it is a base only module that stacks under the M4. The AGH shown is based on a standard embedment assumption of 10% of the pole height plus 2 ft. [0.61m] for poles 40 ft. [12.2m] and over and 10% plus 2.5 ft. [0.76m] for poles less than 40 ft. [12.2m]. The RS pole selector is for demonstration purposes only. Contact RS to confirm the correct pole for your application.

Strengthen Your Entire Grid

A strategic investment in composite poles adds strength and reliability where you need it most. Our team is experienced in helping utility companies harden every part of their grid with the flexibility of our lightweight, modular poles.

Modular Poles Page - Distribution

Distribution

Distribution poles outnumber transmission structures by a factor of 10:1 and are responsible for last-mile service supply. Their less stringent engineering requirements can make them the most susceptible to nature’s threats. Composite poles are the solution.
Pole Length: 20-100 Ft. [6.1-30.5 M]
Pole Strength: Class 6-H6
Voltage Level: 1kv < 69kv

Transmission

Transmission lines are the backbone of the electric utility system and the most critical grid infrastructure. With installations up to 345kV, utilities trust composite poles from Resilient Structures to stand strong in the harshest conditions.

Pole Length: 60-155 Ft. [18.3-47.2 M]
Pole Strength: Class 2-H6
Voltage Level: 69kv-345kv

Modular Poles Page - Substation

Substation

Substations are essential to any power delivery grid. When one goes down, a lot of your customers are in the dark. Using Resilient Structures poles for everything from incoming and outgoing pole lines to busbar supports to lightning, lighting and SCADA poles significantly hardens your substations.

Pole Strength: Class 6-H6
Voltage Level: 1kv-345kv, Scada, Lightning, Lighting

Communication

Engineered composite poles offer predictable performance that always delivers, regardless of the conditions. If you need dependable communication infrastructure that minimizes operating and maintenance costs, trust Resilient Structures.

01

Protect Critical Structures and Circuits
The reliability of utility structures supporting high-load equipment or powering critical infrastructure, like hospitals, is crucial. Failures can result in costly downtime, safety risks, and time-consuming repairs. Limiting the vulnerability of these critical circuits and structures adds necessary resiliency, improving the customer experience and reducing your business’s long-term costs.

02

Reduce Costs in Hard-to-Access Utility Pole Installations
Installing utility poles in rear easements, remote areas or difficult terrain can be both challenging and expensive. The transportation options can be limited and access for certain types of heavy machinery is sometimes impossible. Once a pole is in place, its eventual failure requires repeating the same difficult process all over again.

03

Improve Performance Where Conventional Utility Poles Fail Too Soon
Traditional wood and steel utility poles often fall short of their expected lifespan, particularly in harsh environments. Wildfires, high winds, ice storms and pests can significantly reduce reliability, while exposure to moisture, salt, and acidic soils can accelerate the failure of many installations.
