Chairman

Don Lowry

Don Lowry has served as Chairman of the Resilient Structures Board of Directors since December 2020 and is also the Chair of the Board’s People & Governance committee of the Board.

Lowry received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Manitoba, and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program and the Banff School of Management. He has more than 30 years of industry experience in the utilities, telecommunications, and power generation sector.

In addition to serving as president and CEO of EPCOR Utilities Inc., Lowry spent twelve years as Chairman of Capital Power Corporation (CPX.TO). In 2020, he received an ICD Fellowship Award, the highest distinction corporate directors in Canada can achieve, for his contributions through governance leadership.

Steven Kantowitz

Steven Kantowitz is a Partner at Energy Impact Partners (EIP), where he focuses on growth and private equity transactions across the clean energy landscape. He joined EIP in 2022 after nearly 10 years at Warburg Pincus, where he invested in a wide range of energy businesses.

Prior to Warburg Pincus, Kantowitz spent two years in the energy investment banking group at Credit Suisse, advising clients on M&A and financing activities. He holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Scence in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern.

SeeHon Tung

SeeHon Tung is currently the Managing Director of Private Investments at the Werklund Family Office, overseeing all private equity investments for Werklund. He also oversees the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for the Board.

His prior experience includes senior officer roles in investment banking for TD Securities and National Bank Financial, focused on the energy sector. In addition, Tung was a founding employee of a number of startups in Silicon Valley, including the predecessor to PayPal. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) and is a CFA charterholder.

John Higgins

John Higgins joined Resilient Structures as CEO in 2024 following five years as an Independent Director. Higgins spent nine years as President of the Utility Services Group of MasTec where he oversaw a stand-alone $1 billion business with 5,000-plus employees. He also has considerable experience in the energy infrastructure, technology and natural resource industries.

Higgins began his career as a lieutenant and platoon leader in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
